The American University of Nigeria, (AUN) has expressed concern over the unexpected forceful interruption of returning Nigerian international students due to the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
In a press release issued and signed by the Institution’s Executive Director Communications, Mr Daniel Okereke, the University felicitates with the affected students and their families for the safe evacuation of the students back home regretting that the avoidable war will temper with their academic pursuits.
“Your education has been violently and unexpectedly interrupted by international events beyond your control wondering what you should do next, we have one option for you to consider.
“If you desire to continue your education and research while you are back home here in Nigeria, you will find AUN a safe, diverse, cosmopolitan and well-resourced university with an excellent digital library, organised on the U.S. Model of higher education may meet your immediate needs,” the statement said.
According to the release the safety and well being of any student from any part of the universe is a major priority to the University calling on world leaders to ensure peace through dialogue is returned in the warring countries.
